The Bar Above the Water

The bar is the first space guests encounter when entering REM. Positioned above the IJ and surrounded by floor-to-ceiling glass, the space opens directly onto panoramic views of the water and Amsterdam’s skyline beyond. Throughout the day, changing light reflections and passing ships become part of the atmosphere inside.

Designed as a place that naturally shifts from daytime to evening, the bar moves from relaxed drinks and casual meetings into a vibrant setting for late afternoons and nights above the city.
